Joanne Meehl, BA, MS, JCDC
On a regular basis, Joanne talks directly with hiring managers, internal and external recruiters, and HR directors about what they want in candidates. She listens, and makes it her business to get the latest, right from the source. She then translates this knowledge into guidance for clients.
She has worked with thousands of job hunters on their searches and beyond that, in their careers. With so many people today calling themselves “career coaches” and "resume experts", it’s important to make sure the one you choose that has the right successes.
Some qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Counseling with a focus on Career Management, BA in English
- JCDC Certified Job and Career Development Coach from the Career Development Network, and other new certifications such as AI-Savvy Career Coach from Career Thought Leaders
- Constant ongoing learning and connections with other certified coaches, around topics like job search in a layoffs-dominated economy, AI and technology in job search, networking, interviewing, salary negotiation
- Several specialties: professionals in Operations, Finance, B2B Sales, Marketing of all kinds, those leaving high education/academia, many industries, anywhere in the US
These, as well as her forward-looking thinking, and her previous successes as a consultative sales pro, marketing hiring manager, and prolific published writer make her a true career coach who gets results. She says, "My clients give me the best 'certification' though by sending their family and friends to work with me."
Give her your professional job title, and chances are she's helped someone with that title get to the next step in their career. (Contact her and see!)
Check out what she's written on effective career management, at her LinkedIn Profile. When a colleague called her, in her role at a career center for unemployed/in-transition workers, "the resume queen" because she always seemed to have a solution for every resume that had a problem, she decided to trademark the title just for fun.
"It's an honor to help you go to the next step! Each of my clients is unique, and that keeps my work fun and fascinating, fresh and leading-edge. I love thinking 'future' and breaking
the rules: if it helps my clients, and if it's genuine for them and ethical, we do it!"
